On December 15, 2015, at the Montréal Courthouse, Jean-Yves Simard, Bruno Verdon and Léa Maalouf, all three members of the litigation group, gave a conference entitled “Applications for interim and safeguard orders in oppression matters” (« Les demandes de mesures provisoires et d’ordonnances de sauvegarde dans le cadre d’un recours en oppression ») before more than twenty judges from the Superior Court of Quebec, Commercial Division. The Lavery lawyers recapped the legislative basis, the applicable criteria and jurisprudence, and then spoke on the practical and procedural aspects of oppression remedies.
