Mr. Jean-Philippe Turgeon and Ms. Stéphanie Destrempes of Lavery’s Franchising and distribution group wrote an article in the September 2015 issue of the International Franchising Newsletter of the International Bar Association Legal Practice Division presenting a comparative overview of the application of the implied duty of good faith in franchise agreements in Quebec, following the Dunkin Brand case, and in the rest of Canada and abroad, including the United States, France, United Kingdom and Australia, where franchise is a significant area of the industry.
