Pierre Marc Johnson, counsel and lead negotiator for the Quebec government on the Comprehensive and Economic Trade Agreement (CETA), spoke about free trade agreements during the Rendez-vous juridiques organized by the Université de Montréal Faculty of Law.
He discussed how Canada should position itself in order to benefit from the new free trade agreements and the new US trade policy.
At the same time, he analyzed the repercussions of Donald Trump’s election on Canada-US trade relations.
