Lavery, de Billy is pleased to welcome Valérie Korozs, attorney, to its Labour and Employment Law Group in the firm's Montreal offices. Called to the Quebec Bar in 2004, Ms. Korozs worked previously with Stikeman Elliott L.L.P., where her practice focused on labour and employment law.
Ms. Korozs will advise the firm’s clients and represent them before the courts and administrative tribunals in labour relations and individual employment law matters, occupational health and safety, and human rights and freedoms. She will also work closely with the firm’s Business Law Group on the full range of labour and employment law issues involved in various corporate transactions.
A graduate of the Université de Montréal in 2003, Ms. Korozs has participated in numerous moot court competitions. She was a member of the winning team that was awarded first prize in the Gale Cup Moot Competition in 2003, and represented Canada at the Commonwealth Moot Competition in Australia in the same year. In 2004, she won the prize for best pleader as a member of the Montreal Bar School team at the Jean-Pictet international moot court competition held in France. In 2002, she also completed an introductory program on the Chinese legal system at the China University of Political Science and Law in Beijing.
