On May 28, 2015, Simon Gagné, a partner practicing health law and labour law at Lavery, took part in an expert roundtable before almost 50 participants during the Annual General Meeting of the Association des établissements privés conventionnés (AEPC).
Entitled « Le rôle de la direction générale en marge d’une plainte logée auprès du Commissaire local aux plaintes et à la qualité des services » (The general management’s role when a complaint is filed to the Local Service Quality and Complaints Commissioner), this conference discussed the general management’s role upstream and downstream of a complaint, the various immunities and protections found in the Act respecting Health Services and Social Services, as well as access to a user’s complaint record.
