Marie Cossette was a session speaker at The Canadian Institute’s conference La lutte contre la corruption au Québec, au Canada, aux États-Unis et à l’étranger (Anticorruption in Quebec, Canada, the US and Abroad) held in Montreal on October 29th, 2014.
During her presentation, Ms. Cossette discussed ways to identify red flags and tag risks depending on the business field, of the location where it carries out its activities and of the scope of its interaction with local government authorities. She also spoke about internal due diligence programs, the necessity to adapt when the risk potential changes and how best to evaluate situations where excessive compensation is demanded by third parties.
