  1. Lavery welcomes two new notaries to its Québec City team

    Lavery is proud to announce that notaries Pier-Luc Girard and Laurence Martineau have joined its team in Québec City. Pier-Luc Girard and Laurence Martineau work with the Business Law Group where they already contribute their talent to the family, real estate and commercial law practices. “This addition consolidates our existing team of notaries, both in Québec City and Lavery’s other offices and will enable the firm to continue effectively supporting its clients”, commented Daniel Bouchard, Managing Partner of the Québec City office. In addition to planning and managing estate files, Lavery notaries provide a broad range of services including the drafting of civil and commercial real estate contracts such as mortgage deeds, offers to purchase, deeds of sale, servitudes, deeds of superficies and commercial leases.

  2. Étienne Brassard and Mylène Vallières speak about crowdfunding

    Étienne Brassard, and Mylène Vallières, both members of Lavery’s Business Law Group spoke about crowdfunding to Université de Montreal’s Faculty of law on January 11th. This  initiative was coordinated by Michaëlle Guilbault, a student with the firm. The event offered Faculty students an opportunity to learn more about the different aspects of this emerging method of financing.   4. Lavery appoints Loïc Berdnikoff as Director of Professional Development

    Lavery is proud to announce that Loïc Berdnikoff has been appointed to the position of Director of Professional Development. Me Berdnikoff has been interim director of this key role in the firm since August 2016. “It is with enthusiasm that I decided to devote myself to the duties of Director of Professional Development for the firm. I intend to pursue Lavery’s vision to develop and advance our young lawyers. I will contribute my experience as a lawyer and a partner to support them and offer quality training that corresponds to their expectations and aspirations,” stated Loïc Berdnikoff. “As acting director, Loïc was already successfully handling the position and actively carrying out the various responsibilities associated with the role, so this is a natural progression for both him and the firm. We can count on the expertise and experience of a colleague who knows the workings of the profession and our organization,” commented Jean-Yves Simard, Lavery’s Interim Managing Partner.

  5. Ian Rose listed in the 2016 edition of Who’s Who Legal Canada
