Profile
Law Student
Jimmy joined Lavery as a student in 2023 and will be articling with the firm in 2025. He completed his law degree at the Université du Québec à Montréal and will pursue a Juris Doctor at the Université de Montréal in Fall of 2023.
Throughout his studies, Jimmy learned to balance school and sports. As a student-athlete, he notably stood out for his performances in track and field across the province of Québec. He also participated in several national competitions, such as the Canadian Track and Field championships. He will be running for the Université de Montréal track and field team during the 2023-2024 season.
His desire to have a positive impact and give back to his community led Jimmy to volunteer at the Mobile legal clinic (MLC). He therefore guided citizens in a position of vulnerability throughout their judicial procedures.
During his senior year, Jimmy also pleaded in the Guy-Guerin moot court competition. While Jimmy was awarded the best witness interrogation, his team received the second place honours. This team performance allowed them to participate in the national final of the Sopinka cup, an annual Canadian moot court competition organized by the American College of Trial Lawyers.
