Marie-Jade began her career at Lavery as a “floater” legal assistant and then as an intern. She is now a paralegal and a member of the Business Law group at the Sherbrooke office.
She assists lawyers and notaries in connection with corporate restructurings. She is also involved with incorporations, registrations and amendments to articles of incorporation, as well as corporate continuance and dissolution matters. She prepares the closing agendas, resolutions, agreements and other related documents.
In addition, Marie-Jade conducts due diligence research in various public registries, including Quebec’s corporate register (REQ), personal and movable real rights register (RDPRM), land register, docket information, the Federal Court and the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy Canada.
