Marie-Claude Armstrong is a member of the Family, Personal and Estate Law Group in the Montreal office, where she developed an expertise in family, estate and trust law litigation as well as in matters pertaining to the institution of protective supervision, the homologation of mandates in anticipation of incapacity, patrimony protection and pension plans.

Ms. Armstrong is a joint editor of Législation sur le patrimoine familial annotée (4th Edition, Carswell Publications, 2003). She was responsible for updating the law of property section in Droit de la famille québécois (CCH/FM Ltée, publishers) from 1999 to 2004.

She also developed and taught a course on case law trends in family patrimony issues in collaboration with Ms. Claudia P. Prémont (Quebec Bar Continuing Education), in collaboration with Ms. Élizabeth Pinard, a course on estate planning and settlement (Quebec Bar Continuing Education), as well as a course on family law and the elders (Continuing Education, Canadian Bar Association Québec Branch).

She regularly appears as a guest lecturer at the Quebec Bar Continuing Education workshops, where she discusses issues related to family law, personal trusts and estates. She also authored many articles in these areas of the law.

The 2012 edition of The Best Lawyers in Canada directory recognizes Marie-Claude Armstrong as one of the best lawyers in Family Law.
