Louis Charette practises in the areas of civil and professional liability litigation, products liability and transportation and aviation law.
 
He also was a lecturer in civil procedure at the McGill University Faculty of Law.
 
Mr. Charette is also listed in the 2012 edition of Best Lawyers in Canada as a leading practitioner in the fields of Aviation and Transportation Law and Product Liability Law.
 
Representative work

    Represented the owner of a dam in a class action instituted following the flood in Saguenay.
    Represented the owner of a plant in proceedings alleging soil and water table contamination as a result of the operation of the plant.
    Represents the interests of professionals, including hospitals, real estate agents, accountants and engineers in civil liability proceedings and before administration tribunal.
    Represents manufacturers in proceedings in which design or manufacturing defects are alleged.
    Represents the interests of manufacturers regarding the implementation and management of recalls.
    Represents the interests of various air and road transportation stakeholders.
    Represents the interests of insurance brokers and of real estate agents and brokers in professional liability litigation.
