Catherine Maheu has been practising for more than 15 years in the field of labour and employment law serving many employers prominently from the private sector.
 
Her specialties include, among others, the negotiation and drafting of collective agreements, the arbitration of grievances, the application of labour standards and the drafting of individual employment contracts. She has also developed an interest in issues relating to pension plans. In collaboration with the firm’s Business Law Group, she has developed an extensive expertise in advising clients as to the labour and employment law and pensions law aspects of mergers and acquisitions and business turnarounds in bankruptcy or insolvency.
 
Perfectly bilingual, she has received many awards and academic distinctions during her studies.
 
Ms. Maheu has published numerous articles pertaining to her area of specialty and she is frequently called upon as a speaker by various organizations for conferences on a range of matters related to labour and employment law.
