BIOGRAPHY

Partner
Pierre Jauvin is a member of the firm's business law group and specializes in competition law and labour and employment law (national and international). He advises businesses and international organizations on all aspects of employment relations (employment contracts, services contracts, compensation, stock option plans, profit-sharing plans, intellectual property, human resources and human resources management) and acquisitions.
 
He takes a keen interest in matters of corporate governance and strategic planning and also advises his clients respecting commercial transactions.
 
He has solid experience, acquired before both administrative tribunals and civil courts, including the Federal Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada. Mr. Jauvin also frequently negotiates collective agreements on behalf of multinational corporations. In addition, he represents clients involved in inquiries by competition law authorities.
 
Prior to joining Lavery, he had been vice-president of a major sales organization and was responsible for the Canadian employment law practice of an international firm.
 
He frequently lectures on domestic and international subjects.
 
Mr. Jauvin is a co-author of the book Les dirigeants: leurs choix et leurs obligations [Officers: their options and duties].
