Pierre Daviault's fields of practice include the negotiation of collective agreements, grievance arbitration and representation of employers before various specialized bodies. He represents all types of educational institutions from school boards, CEGEPS and universities to private institutions, a role that has enabled him to acquire broad experience in these areas of the law.
 
In the course of his specialized practice in education law, he has dealt with administrative and legal issues of all kinds relating to the functioning of school boards, the acquisition of movable and immovable property, public tender procedures, taxation, transportation and the regulatory aspects of teaching and administrative programs.
 
Representative work
  • Acted on behalf of public institutions as special mediator in crisis situations.
  • Acted as consultant to various trustees appointed by the Quebec Government for administrative and institutional reorganizations.
  • Acted in various extraordinary recourse and class action cases regarding the application of legislative and regulatory provisions particular to the school environment.
