Martin J. Edwards practises both in the English and French languages, in civil law, real estate, commercial law and banking, as well as in life and disability insurance. His practice also includes setting up and realizing security interests. 
 
He advises corporations and financial institutions and represents clients in court. 
 
Representative work
  • Participated in drafting and setting up security documentation, leases and other agreements for a major tire retail sales and distribution network.
  • Provided legal services for the sale of a major insurance brokerage firm.
  • Developed the franchising documentation of a sports equipment retail sales network.
  • Provided legal services for the reorganization and restructuring of a corporation having in excess of a thousand shareholders, particularly with respect to the Autorité des marchés financiers.
  • Provided legal services in respect of turnaround or realization activities on behalf of a bank and participated in financings on behalf of financial institutions.
