Although he is a generalist, and is known in the community as such, Luc Villiard's practice frequently involves municipal taxation and commercial law

matters.

 

Mr. Villiard was a member of the legal committee appointed by the Union des municipalités de la province de Québec in connection with the "Ryan Reform". He has participated, as a trainer, in several continuing education sessions offered by the Ordre professionel des évaluateurs agréés du Québec. In addition to acting as adviser to several municipalities and school boards for taxation matters, Mr. Villiard represents them before the Bureau de révision de l'évaluation foncière du Québec, the Court of Quebec and the Court of Appeal.

 

Mr. Villiard also advises and represents financial institutions in matters involving the liquidation of security on assets and the collection of commercial and personal loans. On several occasions, he has been asked to give conferences to financial institution executives on issues of interest to them.

 

Finally, Mr. Villiard is the co-author of the Quebec journal on property evaluations published by the Ordre des évaluateurs agrees du Québec in 2005 and it was named Le concept de valeur en évaluation municipale.
