Louis Charette practises in the areas of civil and professional liability litigation, products liability and transportation and aviation law.
He also was a lecturer in civil procedure at the McGill University Faculty of Law.
Representative work
- Represented the owner of a dam in a class action instituted following the flood in Saguenay.
- Represented the owner of a plant in proceedings alleging soil and water table contamination as a result of the operation of the plant.
- Represents manufacturers in proceedings in which design or manufacturing defects are alleged.
- Represents the interests of manufacturers regarding the implementation and management of recalls.
- Represents the interests of various air and road transportation stakeholders.
- Represents the interests of insurance brokers and of real estate agents and brokers in professional liability litigation.
