BIOGRAPHY
Associate
Denis Michaud joined Lavery in 2006. He practices in the areas of municipal and government affairs, environment, energy and resources, information and privacy, as well as labour and employment. His specialties are municipal, labour, environmental and administrative law.
Over the past few years, Mr. Michaud has worked as a public sector manager. In this capacity, he held the positions of director general of a municipality as well as secretary general responsible for legal and institutional affairs and human resources management within a Quebec government corporation.
He has also been a political attaché and chief of staff with several major government departments including justice, Capitale-Nationale region, environment and transport.
Several organizations have called on his expertise by inviting him to speak at conventions, conferences and
summits.
In addition, Mr. Michaud has been a course lecturer in urban law at the Université Laval's Faculty of Law.
