André Paquette is a member of the Business Law Group. His practice includes various areas of corporate law and he works mainly on mergers and acquisitions as well as financings.

Mr. Paquette has extensive experience in drafting commercial agreements. He advises and assists companies of all sizes regarding the legal aspects of sales and acquisitions of businesses and other important commercial transactions. He is also interested in corporate succession issues and management buy-outs. He has led numerous acquisitions and sales of businesses and venture capital financings. Notably, Mr. Paquette was actively involved in the mandate for the acquisition of the Montreal Canadiens hockey franchise by a group of investors led by the Molson brothers in 2009.

• Legal counsel to the purchaser for the acquisition of a Canadian business involved in the manufacturing and machining of precision parts for the aircraft industry
• Provided Legal counsel for the seller of a retirement home for seniors
• Part of the legal team who advised purchaser with respect to the acquisition of the Montreal Canadiens and of the Bell Center
